United Hands Of Love Foundation

MEET THE FOUNDER

My name is Sue and I’m the founder of United Hands of Love Foundation. My journey began with a profound love for Mexico, a place where I witnessed young children striving to survive instead of enjoying their childhood. It became painfully clear that many of these children lack essential resources. As a mother, I have often grappled with the fear of what would happen to my children if I were no longer there to care for them. This fear fueled my desire to make a difference, particularly for those children who find themselves without parental care. I made the decision to start a nonprofit organization focused on supporting orphanages in meaningful ways.

Recognizing that the needs of vulnerable populations transcend borders, UHOLF has expanded its vision to include those in our own community who are experiencing homelessness and poverty. While clothes, shoes, and toys are important, I believe that every child and individual deserves more than just temporary relief. They need opportunities that will empower them to thrive in the future. I often reflect on what I would want for my own children: a solid education, spiritual guidance, and an abundance of love. It is these areas that I am determined to prioritize in our work, whether supporting orphanages in Mexico or addressing the pressing needs of local families and children.

At the core of my foundation’s mission are education and spiritual growth. I strive to spend quality time with the children at the orphanage, getting to know them on a personal level. During my first visit, I prepared food for the children and created goodie bags. As I cooked, I was delighted to see their joy and excitement. Each child wrote me a letter sharing their wishes and a little about themselves, which allowed me to understand their hopes and dreams.

Through United Hands of Love Foundation, we aim to ignite the potential within all those we serve—locally and abroad—allowing them to feel valued, loved, and important. Join us on this journey to make a lasting difference in their lives. Together, we can help them flourish and build a brighter future.

MEET THE FOUNDER

My name is Sue and I’m the founder of United Hands of Love Foundation. UHOLF is born out of a deep commitment to transform the lives of orphans in Mexico, as well as to support children and individuals here locally who are facing poverty or homelessness. Our mission extends beyond providing basic needs like food and clothing; we are dedicated to fostering education and nurturing spiritual growth. We believe that by working together, we can inspire hope and ignite change in the lives of those we serve.

ABOUT ME

I am a proud mother of four wonderful daughters: Riley (17), Maylee (16), Milani (9), and LilyRose (4). The bond I share with my girls is one of the greatest blessings in my life, and I cherish every moment of motherhood. My journey as a parent is deeply rooted in my faith in God, which serves as the foundation and guiding light of my life. It is through His presence that I find strength, purpose, and direction each day. I hold a special affection for children, believing wholeheartedly in the biblical sentiment that the heavens belong to them. After years of searching for my purpose, I found it in establishing my nonprofit, which has been a fulfilling endeavor.

Originally from Arizona, I spent part of my childhood amidst the stunning landscapes of Oregon and Idaho before returning to my roots. Growing up in a big, loving family filled with sisters, brothers, nieces, and nephews has bestowed upon me a tremendous support system and an abundance of love. My academic background in Psychology and Business Administration has paved the way for a variety of entrepreneurial adventures. I’ve started and nurtured three businesses, pouring my heart into each one before moving on to new challenges. This journey has been a valuable lesson in resilience and the importance of following one’s passions. In my free time, I find joy in cooking healthy meals, immersing myself in captivating books, and exploring new places. While I was vegan for many years, I now lean towards colorful vegetables and enjoy seafood as well. I prefer reading over watching television and love sipping on tea or sparkling mineral water with a splash of lemon and a pinch of salt. Sweets aren’t really my go-to, though I’m open to the occasional treat! Additionally, I find peace in practicing yoga and pilates, activities that help me stay active and balanced.
